Greentec Congratulates CEO Tony Perrotta on Receiving Call2Recycle
Canada’s 2025 Leaders in Sustainability Award
CAMBRIDGE, ON — April 16, 2026 — Greentec International Inc. is proud to
announce that its CEO, Tony Perrotta, has been recognized by Call2Recycle
Canada with a 2025 Leaders in Sustainability Award. The award celebrates
outstanding leadership and collaboration in advancing responsible battery
recycling and environmental impact across Canada.
Presented as part of Call2Recycle Canada’s 2025 Leaders in Sustainability Awards,
the recognition honours partners whose commitment helped support a record-
breaking year for battery recycling in Canada. In its announcement, Call2Recycle
shared that more than 8 million kilograms of batteries were collected in 2025,
contributing to more than 60 million kilograms recycled nationwide since the
program’s inception.
For Greentec, the award reflects more than a milestone achievement. It
represents the company’s long-standing partnership with Call2Recycle and their
shared commitment to secure, compliant, and environmentally responsible
battery recycling and management.
“Receiving this recognition from Call2Recycle is an honour,” said Tony Perrotta,
CEO of Greentec. “At Greentec, we believe responsible recycling requires more
than operational excellence. It requires collaboration, accountability, and a
shared commitment to protecting both the environment and the communities we
serve. We are proud to work alongside Call2Recycle to strengthen battery
recycling infrastructure and help build a more circular future.”
Greentec has built its reputation on delivering secure and sustainable solutions
for IT asset disposition, electronics recycling, secure destruction, and battery
recycling. With more than 30 years of experience, the company helps
organizations manage retired technology and recyclable materials with full
chain-of-custody, certified processes, and a strong focus on environmental
performance and compliance. Greentec’s broader mission—to protect businesses
while helping save the planet—continues to guide its work across every service
line.
The Call2Recycle recognition also underscores the importance of industry
collaboration in meeting the growing challenges of battery-powered technologies.
As battery use expands across consumer electronics, mobility, and enterprise
infrastructure, Greentec remains committed to supporting safe, scalable, and
compliant recycling pathways that reduce waste, recover value, and advance
circular economy outcomes.
“This award is a reflection of the dedication of our entire team and the strength
of the partnerships that make this work possible,” Perrotta added. “We share this
recognition with Call2Recycle and with every organization committed to making
responsible recycling more accessible, more accountable, and more impactful
across Canada.”
Greentec values its partnership with Call2Recycle and applauds the
organization’s continued leadership in building a safety-first, accessible national
battery recycling program. Together, organizations across Canada are helping
create practical, measurable environmental impact through local action and
national collaboration.
