Producer Compliance Questions

What happens if I don't meet my MMR?

Producers are individually accountable for their management requirement under Ontario's regulation, and RPRA can issue compliance orders and administrative penalties for shortfalls. Greentec's program is built to process and recover to your target and to document performance with audit-ready records so the gap never opens.

How is my MMR calculated?

RPRA calculates your Minimum Management Requirement from the supply data you report and publishes it in the producer registry. It tells you how much ITT/AV you are responsible for managing this year, and it is the basis of everything Greentec quotes.

Can I switch PROs mid-year?

Yes. Producers have moved to Greentec mid-cycle from a previous PRO and still met their management requirement in the first performance period under Greentec.

Can I use more than one PRO?

Producers may retain more than one PRO to carry out different obligations. Greentec covers the full set, collection, hauling, processing, data destruction, reporting, and promotion and education, so a single accountable partner can handle the entire program.

What are the RPRA reporting deadlines?

RPRA sets annual deadlines for the supply data report and the performance report. Greentec completes your performance report from its own weight records and chain-of-custody documentation; you review and sign off. Confirm current dates against RPRA guidance.

Does Greentec handle secure data destruction for RPRA-collected devices?

Yes. Data-bearing devices are destroyed under NAID AAA procedures with asset-level Certificates of Destruction, so RPRA's secure destruction requirement is documented and audit-ready on every eligible device.

Can Greentec also handle our corporate ITAD?

Yes. Producers can combine their producer obligation and corporate ITAD under one partner and one set of certifications, simplifying both compliance and vendor management.

My company is small. Do I still need to register with RPRA?

Smaller suppliers may fall under RPRA's registration and reporting exemption thresholds, but the obligation depends on your supply data. Check your figures against current RPRA guidance, or share them with Greentec's compliance team for an assessment.
