Another year has come and gone - and what a year it was! As we take the time to reflect back on the year, we are thankful for the dedicated team we have, humbled by our accomplishments and excited for what 2018 will bring.
A Year In Review
Reflecting on 2017, we can’t help but be extremely proud of all we have done.
New Customers and Business Growth
We welcomed many new customers over the past year, and are proud that Greentec was not only able to help them securely dispose of their Data, IT Assets and E-Waste but also help them recover value from the recycling of electronics. Thank you for choosing to work with us!
New Staff Expertise and Equipment
Along with increasing our client base, we also expanded our talent and expertise with some new members to the Greentec family.
- Anjali Purohit is our new Environmental Compliance Coordinator
- Naomi Zweep is our new Sales Coordinator
We also added five new production team members and a new secure truck to our expanding fleet.
95% Waste Diversion Rate
It is one of our core values to help divert as much waste from landfills as possible. Although we achieved an exceptional 95% waste diversion rate in our last audit, that means there is still 5% of all electronic waste that can’t be recycled. We’re shooting for the moon on this one and want to lead the charge to find solutions to help make 100% diversion a possibility.
Continued Investment in Research Development
To help support our 100% waste diversion goal we’ve chosen to increase our investment in R&D. This investment has allowed us to ramp up the projects we work on with the help of Professor Hamid Karbasi and his incredible faculty of staff and students in the Mechanical Engineering department at Conestoga College.
Education and ITAD Compliance
In the Spring, we worked with our partners at OECM and the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) to produce and deliver an educational webinar about privacy compliance and ITAD.
Shop Greentec Launch
We’ve set up shop — online! Greentec has offered refurbished laptops and electronics wholesale buyers in bulk for many years. We’re now offering these products at low prices to all of our clients. Head to www.shop.greentec.com and check out the selection of high-quality, low-cost products.

The Holidays Are Almost Here
On behalf of everyone at Greentec, we would like to wish you a very safe and happy holiday. We would also like to take this opportunity to advise you on our holiday shutdown dates:
Greentec offices will close from December 25, 2017, through January 1, 2018.
Greentec plant will close on December 25, 26, 2017 and January 1, 2018.
It will be business as usual as of 9 AM on January 2, 2018.
