Inspection Criteria
Laser Cartridges

  1. Label should be Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) label

  2. Casing should be inspected for any visual damage, missing parts, non-original screws and clips.

  3. Shutter(s), sensor tabs and pins are present and in place

  4. Components should not be broken or missing

  5. Optical Photo Conductor (drum) should be the original (OEM) drum. Can be easily identified by the color.

Inkjet Cartridges

  1. Case should be absolutely free of cracks and not broken.
  2. Contact Area should be flush with cartridge Body. Make sure that there are no cracks, bubbling or any indication of ink seeping under the contact.
  3. Flextape should not be peeled off, broken or gouged.
  4. Nozzle plate should not be gouged, cracked or have holes.
  5. Fill / Drill Hole should not be replaced or show signs of being tampered.
  6. Remanufacturer's Labels should not be present and cartridges with no labels are not acceptable.

Nozzle Plate/ Print Head:

Note: Although Greentec does inspect the nozzle plate/ print head as part of our Production Ready™ process, it is not guaranteed to perform to any specifications.

Ensures:

  1. The cartridge cap has not been removed and glued back again.
  2. Non-OEM hole drilled into the cartridge.
  3. No seal or cover over the Labyrinth (bubble generator)
  4. No sticker on the cartridge other than the OEM.
  5. No ink in the cartridge.
  6. No small ball rolling around in the inside of the cartridge.
  7. No plug or ball in top fills hole besides OEM.

 


How does Greentec determine if an Inkjet is damaged?


Greentec Checks:

  • Damages to Flex tape:
    1. Bubbled.
    2. Peeling from ends.
    3. Ink appears under the flex tape or it is discolored.
    4. Cracked or scratched flex tape.
  • Damages to Plastic Case:
    1. Look for cracks especially on sides and corners
    2. Damaged or broken hold down bracket.
    3. Excessive scratches on plastic case.

 


 

Damages to Print Head or Nozzle Plate:

  1. Deep scratches on head.
  2. Holes appear on head.
  3. Nozzle plate is missing.
  4. Nozzle plate should not be gouged.
  5. Loose nozzle plates.
  6. Labyrinth (bubble generator) and its cover should not be cracked or leaking.
